Focus and Scope

SPECTAPRO: Journal of Cultural, Social, and Pedagogical Perspectives in Physical Education and Sport aims to provide an interdisciplinary scholarly platform for the publication and dissemination of high-quality research addressing physical education, sport, movement, and physical activity from cultural, social, pedagogical, historical, philosophical, technological, political, and inclusive perspectives.

The journal seeks to advance critical and contextual understanding of physical education and sport by connecting theory, empirical research, educational practice, and social realities. It particularly encourages studies that examine how physical activity is shaped by culture, identity, curriculum, indigenous knowledge, ethical and spiritual values, media, technology, policy, inclusion, disability, and broader processes of social transformation.

SPECTAPRO also aims to promote innovative, inclusive, and culturally responsive approaches to physical education and sport, while facilitating scholarly dialogue among researchers, educators, practitioners, policymakers, and other stakeholders at national and international levels. Through this orientation, the journal intends to contribute to the development of physical education and sport as fields that are not only concerned with physical performance, but also with education, culture, equity, participation, and human development.
