AUTHOR GUIDELINES

The article writing guidelines for Spectapro are as follows:

General Information

  1. The article must be an original scholarly work by the author and has never been published or is currently under consideration by other media;
  2. The article should emphasize cultural studies in physical education, sport, and human movement, both in local and global contexts, in line with the journal’s Focus and Scope;
  3. The article must conform to the journal's house style and template;
  4. Authors must submit manuscripts that explore current themes within the scope of cultural studies in sport and movement, demonstrate analytical depth, use up-to-date references, and be free from plagiarism. All authors are legally bound to their work in accordance with the statement provided in the manuscript under the section 'Author Contributions and Declarations'.

Manuscript File

  1. Manuscripts are written in English and used standard scientific usage. Authors whose first language is not English should consult the manuscript with an English editing service before submitting it to the Journal of Spectapro.
  2. Manuscripts should be prepared in Microsoft Word format, except for Graphs using Microsoft Excel program and Figures using JPEG/JPG/PNG.
  3. Manuscripts should be typed using Constantia fonts at 1 point.
  4. The length of the manuscript is approximately 9 to 15 pages, written in A4 paper format, margins: top 2,5 cm; left2,5 cm; right 2 cm; bottom 2 cm, single columns (except for abstract, figure or table whose size cannot be reduced due to its readability), justified, single-spaced. The manuscript comprises seven main headings: Introduction; Method; Results and Discussion; Conclusion; Acknowledgment (if there is); Author Contributions and Declarations; References.
  5. The title of the manuscript must be as brief as possible and must represent the content of the manuscript.
  6. Author’s names are written below the title, followed by author’s affiliation and e-mail addresses.
  7. The abstract is written in English, as a representation of the manuscript. The abstract is written narratively comprising aims/objectives, methods, and findings of the research/article.
  8. Manuscript can use the STROBE method for observational studies, SRQR for qualitative studies, PRISMA for reviews, CARE for case reports, CONSORT for clinical trials (recommendations).
  9. Keywords: words or phrases which are important, specific, or representative of the article.
  10. Style APA 7th edition.
  11. The references of the article are in the form of journals and non-journals which are published in the last six years. The references must be written using the Mendeley or Zotero reference management application.
  12. The manuscript must be written following the Journal of Spectapro template.
  13. The manuscript must be in *.doc and sent to the journal system via online submission by creating an account in this Open Journal System (OJS) [click REGISTER if you have not had any account yet, or click LOG IN if you have already had an account].
  14. All Author(s)' names and identity(es) must be completely embedded in the form filled in by the corresponding author: email; affiliation; and each author's short biography (in the column of 'Bio Statement'). [if the manuscript is written by two or more authors, please click 'Add Author' in the 3rd step of 'ENTER METADATA' in the submission process and then enter each author's data].
  15. All correspondences, information, and decisions for the submitted manuscripts are conducted through email written in the manuscript and/or the emails used for the submission. The status of the manuscript can be checked in the OJS by logging into the journal.

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  2. The submission file is in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or Word Perfect document file format.
  3. Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  4. The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  5. The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
  6. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.
