Bimbingan Kelompok dengan Teknik Journaling untuk Mereduksi Kecenderungan Adiksi Smartphone pada Siswa SMP

Abstract

Penggunaan smartphone yang sulit dikendalikan pada remaja dapat mengganggu aktivitas sehari-hari, relasi sosial, tidur, dan keterlibatan akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi perubahan kecenderungan adiksi smartphone pada siswa SMP setelah pemberian bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik journaling dalam dua siklus Penelitian Tindakan Bimbingan dan Konseling (PTBK). Screening awal diberikan kepada 246 peserta didik, kemudian 10 siswa kelas VII dengan skor tertinggi (skor > 62) dipilih sebagai subjek tindakan. Instrumen terdiri atas 24 butir valid dengan Cronbach's alpha = .725. Siklus I terdiri atas tiga pertemuan yang menggunakan activity log, reflective journaling, dan perencanaan rutinitas; siklus II memodifikasi tugas journaling berdasarkan hasil refleksi siklus I. Analisis menggunakan Shapiro-Wilk dan paired-samples t test. Berdasarkan skor individual yang tercantum pada data penelitian, rerata turun dari 70,90 pada pretest menjadi 52,10 setelah siklus I dan 49,40 setelah siklus II. Seluruh peserta berpindah dari kategori tinggi/sangat tinggi pada pretest ke kategori sedang, rendah, atau sangat rendah pada akhir siklus II. Uji Shapiro-Wilk pada selisih skor menghasilkan p = .277. Perhitungan ulang paired t test dari skor individual menghasilkan t(9) = 7.08, p < .001, mean difference = 21.50, 95% CI [14.63, 28.37], dan d_z = 2.24. Temuan menunjukkan penurunan skor yang besar pada kelompok tindakan, tetapi tidak dapat diperlakukan sebagai bukti kausal definitif karena tidak terdapat kelompok kontrol, subjek dipilih dari skor ekstrem, dan ukuran sampel kecil. Journaling berpotensi berfungsi melalui self-monitoring, refleksi terhadap pemicu penggunaan, regulasi emosi, dan perencanaan perilaku alternatif. Implikasi penelitian diarahkan pada pengembangan layanan BK berbasis self-regulation yang terstruktur dan dievaluasi dengan desain yang lebih kuat.
