STAYING IN THE PRIVATE CATHOLIC SCHOOL: A CASE STUDY OF TEACHER’S EXPERIENCES

Private schools often experience the frequent transition of teachers, but some still stay in private schools. This study identified teachers' experiences in Teaching in Catholic Private Schools. The study used the qualitative method, an unmistakable kind of research configuration in breaking down and depicting the information accumulated together for the researcher to achieve the reason for the investigation, which is to examine the teachers’ experiences in a catholic private school. This study used the Merriam case study for the data analysis and conducted an interview. It was categorized to identify the teacher's experiences staying in private school. There were ten research participants in this research, and they were teaching in a private school for more than five years. Significant findings include positive experiences, reasons for staying, challenges, and how the teachers deal with the challenges. The admin should consider their philosophy that private catholic schools are just training grounds. Despite the promising benefits outside, personal growth and a sense of contentment are common reasons to stay longer. The working environment can be the private institution's strength that builds a harmonious relationship with one another. Hence, it could also be a great challenge, especially when a lack of support is felt and the pressure and demands of its stakeholders.
